Major Accomplishments (da Vinci)

Page history last edited by boynton 13 years, 11 months ago

Leonardo da Vinci was a famous Renaissance man who inspired an evolution in science research, art, architecture, civil engineering, human anatomy, and many more. His explorations in each subject had helped him achieve many major accomplishments.

In art, his famous painting called the Mona Lisa is depicted of a young woman who is giving off a mysterious aura; her smile is there, but it looks like she's concealing some enormously interesting secret. da Vinci also painted the Virgin of the Rocks and The Last Supper. All of these famous artworks included details of the Renaissance era, like human emotions, realistic features, and three-dimensional details. Most of Leonardo da Vinci's paintings had religious themes.

-Virgin of the Rocks - The Last Supper

By 1495, started painting the Last Supper, which was one of the many best known works of his time. In 1504, he was back in Florence where he began his most prized masterpiece, the Mona Lisa.

da Vinci also studied birds' flight and tried to apply them to his own sketches and flying devices; which didn't really work but later helped in the aerodynamic procedure.

Leonardo also observed the relationship between the moon and our Earth; he realized the effect the moon has on our tides.

He worked as a military engineer to invent advanced and deadly weapons. He also worked as a civil, military engineer during the Second Italian War and mapmaker for Cesare Borgia, applying his knowledge of mechanics. He was a gentle man who loved animals and hated war, yet he worked as a military engineer to help invent advanced and deadly weapons. Such advancements that da Vinci made in weaponry included the armored car, which inspired the creation of the modern military tanks, and also cannons and giant crossbows.Leonardo da Vinci's work was written in mirror script, which you have to reflect in a mirror to decipher.

It think you should keep it but reword it a bit. Like maybe , "Leonardo da Vinci's work was written in mirror script, meaning you will have to use a mirror to understand what it says," or you can keep it how it is (:
